Ok, so a few of you may know that 4 weeks ago today, I’d had a laparoscopic sterilisation done to avoid taking any more artificial hormones into my body, in a bid to live a healthier, happier life going forward. After this, I’ve experienced a very difficult first two weeks filled with stomach pain, (mostly core), back pain, and burning in and around my stitches from what I can only describe as a resemblance of a C-section (almost, but not quite as bad, I know because I’ve been through that twice giving birth to my children), then the stress of my mother in law having some very important surgery, then booking a very last minute (but much needed) holiday for May half term with husband and kids and also preparing for this, and now I’m coming to the end of my holiday and found out 2 days ago that I have a bad urinary tract infection which the hotel docs helped me to discover and gave me antibiotics for. I can safely say that this May has been a turbulent one, and glad to see the back of it tbh, but one thing I have learned, is where I’ve been so down in not working out (and not being able to take advantage of the Atlantis the Palm’s beautiful and extensive gym), it’s made me realise the emphasis on truly taking care of yourself when needed and just how important that is, not getting hung up on what I can’t do and focus on the good and what I can do. Because life is too short, and my time with my babies is so precious that it’s passing by in a flash, so I will enjoy my time as best I can with them out here until I’m back to myself again. Still recovering, planning on starting back on our beloved workouts this Monday coming, wish me luck 🙏🏻🧿💖
